Playing 192 kHz Files from Amazon Unlimited
AnsweredI have a new Node playing through an integrated amp with built in DAC (Mark Levinson 585). When using the Mac OS app from a 2019 Mac airbook, my amp shows the track is being played at 96 kHz even though it is a 192 track. This is true whether I connect the node via Toslink, or the analog outputs. On bluetooth, I configured the Mac so that the Node is outputting as an aggregate device. The MacBook says the aggregate device's capability is only 96kHz and that is what it outputs at. If I output the Node alone with creating an aggregate device, it shows the capability as 48kHz.
It sounds good but I was able to do the same with an old Audioengine and specifically bought the Node to be able to play the higher resolution. I have logged out and restarted everything but no change. Any suggestions on what else I can try? I have an Amazon Fire tablet I could stream from if that would make any difference. Thanks.
