Node2i and Project Pre Box S2 Digital DAC

Has anyone sucessfully used this combination to support MQA streaming? I wanted to compare this DAC with the internal Node2i Burr Brown.

I saw an old posting on this topic but there didn't appear to be a conclusion to the thread.

The DAC was connected to my MAC via USB and worked properly.

I've tried all of the recommended settings for the Node2i for output to a MQA DAC but the DAC never displays the MQA indicator.

Tried both Toslink and Coax.

  After viewing the FAQ on the product page of the Project Pre Box S2, it appears that it only supports MQA content through the USB input. 

  "In order to enable MQA playback via S/PDIF a hardware change would be necessary, this would cause the price to go much higher. MQA hardware decoding is only possible via the asynchronuous USB input of Pre Box S2 Digital."

  Since the Node 2i does not have a USB output, you will not be able to use the Node 2i with this external DAC to render your MQA content.
