Room Correction
AnsweredI love my Bluesound Node 2. I think I would love it even more if it had room correction capability. How about a software and/or firmware update to make DIRAC Live backwards compatible for ALL BluOS devices.

Hi Doug
Thanks for the feedback. DIRAC is only available in certain NAD Electronics BluOS products such as the T777v3, M10 and C658 to name a few.

Hi Tony, I think it would be great to add Dirac to Bluesound products like the node 2i and powernode 2i in some form through firmware update since competing models from Sonos and ELAC offer DSP correction in software. I own a powernode 2i and miss it when compared to active speakers like kef LSX. I was seriously considering active speakers instead of the powernode 2i due to this feature alone.

Existing BluOS owners would remember the added value and customer care when considering future purchases!

Also another feature that is missing is crossover frequency adjustment for sub out. I hope this shouldn’t be difficult to implement through firmware update.

I would like to have the dirac also on the bluenode because the tone controller doesn't work very well, would it be possible to buy it via an upgrade by paying?

We want dirac. If it's expensive, then why can't you offer the feature and let us pay for individual licenses? Is the reason you can't offer it a hardware limitation of products like the powernode (does dirac require a proprietary chip?)
Or, is the reason a brand protection issue and dirac won't offer it's product on mid or low-budget equipment? Thanks

Hi all,
While it is understandable that Powernode cannot get room correction for free, I'm more than sure a large number of us would be perfectly happy to pay for it.
Mentioned on other posts but more/better EQ options should be doable at a relatively limited cost for Bluesound and would be highly (highly) appreciated by the vast majority of their users who have selected Bluesound gears for the Hi-fi/Better than Sonos approach.
Many thanks for considering this

It is now (2023) 4 years further, than the first request. Why is a innovative product like the bluesound node lacking on room correction functionality, while every self respecting above mid-end device is having this functionality? After four years still no solution is in place.I own an node 2i and a n130 combined with active high end speakers and want to improve the sound, because - honestly - no room is perfect and room correction could do the job. Hope a positive update on this topic (of which there are currently more than one treads, with lots of requests).

There is an answer, they don't want to compete with the NAD product line. The rotten decision.
