Show Me More Information - Total Times!
I am looking at my iPad, portrait orientation. On the right I have the empty play queue. On the left I have a single album from Tidal The album has 12 tracks. Each track has a time.
What I want, and don't understand why it isn't already showing, is the Total Play time if I choose Play All. There is a vast amount of space between "Play All" and "12 Songs". It would seem to be the obvious place to display the total play time, which is to say the sum of the play times of the individual tracks of that album. Of course, it doesn't.
Of course, when I hit Play All, which puts 12 tracks into that empty Play Queue, there will be no indication of the time remaining in the Play Queue. It would seem like an obvious piece of information to provide to the user. Too bad the designers left it out. The heading, "Play queue", has more than sufficient room to be changed to "Play Queue: 0:00:00 Remaining". If the user has chosen to loop, so that there is no end, that extra might be blank, or say "Looping".
And since I am in the mood for picking on small stuff too, I think the heading of the Play Queue would look better, and be more consistent, if the Q were capitalized. Just as the A in All of Play All (left side of the same screen) is capitalized. Why not be consistent? It costs nothing, and consistency helps users (aka Paying Customers) think you care.
(Please don't ignore the play time issues just because I'm being a PITA about one letter not being capitalized.)
Thanks!
