Complete unfolding coming to coax or digital ?

It would be great that the complete MQA unfold could also being enable through a coax or a digital connexion. That way we would benefit a High-End external DAC. (Not saying that the Node 2i is not a quality DAC)

  Hello André,

  Due to limitations of MQA streaming, we are only able to provide fully unfolded MQA content through the analog outputs of Bluesound players. With this being a limitation of MQA I do not believe it will be possible to implement this feature in a future update, however I will still forward thing along as a feature request to see if there is anything we can do to work around this limitation.

  If your "high-end external DAC" supports MQA you don't need unfolding from the node 2i and probably don't want it.

   

  When Wesley P. talks about limitations of MQA streaming, I wonder if he means licensing limitations because it is surely not a technical limitation.

  Not quite - the limitation is how MQA works - please see www.mqa.co.uk on how every link ion the chain verifies timing.

  The Bluesound link you gave seems to be the opposite of what the OP asked for, and the pointer to the MQA site doesn't help either.
