Do I need a NODE 2i

My music library is on a LaCie thunderbolt drive attached to an iMac and streams to a Denon AVR-X2400H receiver with a 5.1 speaker setup using Roon software. My question is, would I gain any increase in sound quality or performance if I was to attached a Bluesound NODE 2i to the Denon AV receiver?

  Tony. I have had a demo and you can appreciated the retailer was unable to exactly replicate my system therefore I am looking for some guidance and help.

  Hi Trev

  Don't get me wrong, our Burr Brown 24/192 DAC suggests you will hear better quality sound but what you are asking is not all that different than 'what TV looks better to you'? Only listening to the product will tell you whether or not you will hear a difference.

  This was a question I had as well. I want to say I hear an improvement, but it depends on the source material you play. I have a very decent system (to me) and i find that playing CD's on my upsampling Cary CDP-1 sounds a bit more dynamic playing the SAME artist tracks than playing them on the Node 2i. What the node does that playing my cd's doesnt is having Qobuz or Tidal and being able to find new artists and music i dont have.
