I just bought a Pulse Flex 2i yesterday with a battery pack - I want to use it on our deck outside. I finally got it set up (the included and online instructions need a serious revision, none of it was correct for me, but I did get it on the network eventually), and testing it. With the cord plugged in, the sound was great, but when I tried it with just the battery, the sound quality was distorted and quite bad. I tested it at various locations outside and inside and on various wifi networks to see if that was the issue and the distortion only happened when I was using just the battery pack. When I plugged it in, even with the battery pack attached, the distortion disappeared. Obviously I want to use the battery pack when I'm outdoors, but the music was basically unlistenable and seems unrelated to the wifi network, since I tried them all at various distances from the router and plug in and out. And I tried it with the battery being at various stages of full to see if it was a power issue. I streamed only songs from my vault 2i to the speaker, so it wasn't a streaming service issue either, and I tried various genres. I also updated both the vault and speaker yesterday, so they are current. Is there a fix for this? Otherwise, I'm returning the battery pack and am frustrated that this is such a problem for a pretty expensive system.
