Is this issue related to the rubber backing being removed? I just filed a ticket for a similar issue when mounting the Flex 2is on speaker stands.

It is not related to that apparently - they told me it's a hardware issue, but still not sure what the resolution is.

No. The rubber backing is purely aesthetic.

    Hi,

I am hearing the same issue, i think. Playing music with battery only and switching volume up to normal listening volume the music sounds like the speaker can't handle the volume. But using the same music much louder with power connected sound normal. So seems to be battery related...

    Hi,

are there any updates to this issue. Honestly I didn't test it in the last weeks because my two Flex are on powercables at the moment. But would love to get an info if or when it will be solved...

I am experiencing the same problem with the battery. Speaker sounds fine while plugged in, but distorts like it can't handle the volume with the battery pack. Was this issue solved? Please advise. Thank you.

It‘s simple, it can‘t handle higher volumes with battery pack.

That‘s what I got from support. The battery pack can deliver enough power under full charge, but with discharge it can‘t. So we are advised to use them with moderate volume when the battery pack is used.
