Wanting to play just stereo sound for Sports(Football, Basketball, etc) thru whole house audio (pluse, mini pulse, nodes, etc) have old TV, Old Denon so digital optical doesnt work. Need a solution

Hi,

  Have old Denon AVR 2807  2008, Old Panasonic TV 2008 so digital optical not coming back to Node 2 input.

With DTS, Dolby Digital mixed in causes issues... would have to switch different sources(Playstation vue, firestick, Tivo) to PCM if I could extract it with the equipment I have.

Sports so analog would be fine as a solution. 

Only solution I have now is use the Headphone Jack to input to the analog input of the Node 2.  Thats not a perfect solution as it turns the speakers in the Living room off.

Anyone encountered this and have a better answer so its simple and effective for Sports watching and listening everywhere.

  Hi Tom

  If you are not using the Optical/Analogue input on the back of the NODE 2 for the digital signal, why not use it for the analogue? The NODE 2 only has a single input but it can be used for either digital or analogue...
