Loudness
AnsweredMeanwhile I like M10 very much. There is only one essential feature I miss. A loudness function. I know that especially from T + A and AVM devices ... Especially if you hear quietly brings enormous benefits. By chance, I discovered that also the competitor Sonos has implemented something like that. Did you consciously decide against it or will something like that still come? Loudness is way better than just raising bass and treble ...

Did you consciously decide against it
Yes we did. Loudness is deceiving... just because it is distorted, does not mean it is louder and just because you turn the volume up doesn't mean it should sound distorted.

Loudness should not distort anything! it helps with the so-called auricular volume.

You are correct, it should not. That being said we avoid tonal controls quite often as our goal is to reproduce the audio as intended.
What you really may want to do is run DIRAC on your M10 and set a filter to what you want and apply the filter when you want it.

I would like the feature - and leave it as a feature so the user can decide for them self if they like it or not!

I would like a subtler loudness like feature indeed for quiet listening

Or perhaps a compression feature for late night listening

Hi.
I have been emailing you're support about this "issue" if you could call i that, which i indeed would. This should defiently be atleast and option. When I talked with you're support team they said that they would take it further to discuss, which was great because it was very professional that a simple suggetion from a user would be taken up for discussion. I know that it takes time these things to acutally happend. We need an answer is this coming in the future or are you just gonna keep us hoping?
Leave this as an option, LOUDNESS should really be considered!
