2 USB Devices in Side Tray
AnsweredHello, I have a Node 2i. I have connected a WD MyPassport 3TB (USB 3.0) drive into the USB port. It's been able to load and playback, just fine (although high-res AIFF tracks can take more than 5 seconds to start playing when you click the play button).
However, I have 2 USB icons in the side tray. The second one references my USB drive, but the first one seems to contain nothing. Can I remove this extra icon, somehow?

Hi Ken
Your Passport has a hidden service partition where WD sometimes hides utilities to help you diagnosis issues with your drive or documentation for the drive. Things like that. It's awkward looking but not unusual nor has long term negative affects.

Hmm... I am seeing this will multiple drives (e.g. a Samsung 1TB SSD in a 3rd-party enclosure).
I also connected both drives to my MacBook and looked at the partition tables with Disk Utility and confirmed there is only 1 partition on either disk. If Disk Utility can't see a partition, I doubt BluOS can see it, either.

Hi Ken
So much for that theory - that was the case last time I saw it. Please select Help, Send Support Request so we can see the player log file and take a closer look.
