Notice Stream Timed Out Problems

Hello Support Team:  Since I have slow internet 4-6 Kbps I keep getting Stream Timed Out messages and you responded because you do not up-sample or down sample or use variable bit rate. 

So, my first question, is the any way I can plug my MacBook Air directly into the "optical input"
in the rear of the Nodi will that still allow me to use the Nodi controller and DAC to get it’s full spectrum sound?

My second question or option is, if I purchase a iPad (and cannot use my computer) and plug the iPad into the USB in the front of the Marantz CD 6006 and then plug the Marantz into the “audio input” in the rear of the Nodi will I still get to use the Nodi controller and the to get it’s full spectrum sound?

These appear to be my only options, since my internet here is so slow (4 to 6Kbps) I need to use either iPad or computer direct to the rear of the Nodi. But, why then would I still not get that “Stream timed out” message from my wifi-ethernet cable direct to the Nodi since that is where the problem is?

Explain please. Is not the issue/problem from my internet cable signal to the Nodi even if I don’t wifi after that to either a iPad or computer?

  Hi Ronald

  The answer to question 1 is yes, but not ideal.

  Question 2 is possibly(?), check your Marantz documentation.

  As suggested in my previous comment on your other post, option 3 is your best solution which is to wire your NODE 2i to your router. A powerline Ethernet kit may be your best option if running a cable is not possible.

  Option 4 is select Help, Send Support Request and we can help troubleshoot...
