    We are having some great conversations with regional streaming services in India but nothing yet. You can stream from a phone or tablet using www.bluesound.com/bluetooth until then.

    Node2  vs Node 2i differences. Can you please point me to answer to this in your community .I am sure this would have got covered.

    If there is not audible difference i would prefer to stay with Node 2

    Hi Naresh

    We admittedly switched from a Cirrus Logic to Burr Brown DAC between the original Node and NODE 2. We are still using the Burr Brown in the NODE 2i.

    What you are missing out on is AirPlay 2 connectivity two way Bluetooth so you can use Bluetooth headphones. If you are happy with your NODE 2 then spend that money on a PULSE MINI 2i for the next room and learn the joy of Multi-room streaming.

    Is my understanding correct ?

    1.Since as of today India music streaming like  JioSaavn https://www.jiosaavn.com/ India music streaming

    does not work in Bluesound app. 

    If i get a Node2i and use  a ipad mini with airplay2 and i use the JioSaavn app.

    Then will the JioSaavn get played via airplay2 via wifi ?  This means using wifi i can get better quality compared to bluetooth 

     

    2. What happens when i play via itunes .Does it also play via airplay2?

    Yes - Gen 2i is fully AirPlay compliant - any audio from your iOS or MacOS device can be re-directed to any Bluesound 2i Player.

    With Bluesound  Node2i do i need use the Bluesound app for playing via bluetooth  from my mobile or tab OR no app is needed?

    I understand for Wifi Bluesound app is a must.

    When a analog input is connected BSN 2i ...does the signal pass through the DAC and then connect to analog output.

    Hi Naresh

    Once you have paired your player, you can select Bluetooth without the App if Automatic is set in your Bluetooth Settings one last time in the app. here's how; www.bluesound.com/bluetooth

    As for analog input, yes it is required to go through an ADC and converted to 24/96 and then back through the DAC. It is not an analogue bypass.

    My Power Node 2i is coming in today. Can i use 4ohm speakers?

    Hello Naresh,

    When connecting speakers to a Powernode 2i, we typically recommend 8-ohm resistance to prevent damage to the speakers. However the Powernode is also compatible with 4-ohm speakers, just keep in mind playing at a very high volume could potentially damage your speakers.

    Thank you  for the response. Shall be alert to the fact that 4ohm " impedance" should not be played loud.
