Optimize Artwork Option Question

In my Vault 2 under Settings, Library there is an Optimize Artwork setting.  System says it makes the artwork "smaller" but improves the performance of the system.   My question is how much "smaller" are the art work images?

  Hi Gregory

  If they are larger than 600 kbs in size we will resize the album artwork to under that size as files larger than that are using up memory on your handheld device without any visual impact benefit.

  I hope that clears it up for you. That being said, enabling that feature will slow down your indexing time.

  Hi Tony, 
  
  I recently did an index rebuild but I still have a number of albums 
  with 'Artwork too large'. 
  Do I understand correctly if you have enabled the optimize function that it is 
  then automatically fixed?

  But indexing may slow down
