    Hello C. Dryer,

From what you have described it may be the case that your Alexa is not understanding your full command correctly. To verify this you can log into your Amazon Alexa from www.alexa.amazon.com and see what Alexa heard when your commands were issued.

Please give this a try and if you are still unable to get these commands working, contact our support crew directly at support@bluesound.com so we can look into this further for you.

    Regards,
    Wesley P.

I have exactly the same problem. Alexa perfectly understands what I am asking because she also replies to me "Shuffling music by XYZ on Amazon in the Den" (I named my Node 2i Den - room name) but nothing starts playing on the Blu Node 2i.

    Hi Giambattista

    Please see; https://support.bluos.net/hc/en-us/articles/360009439514

This is a full list of Alexa commands. Amazon's API doesn't support shuffling Amazon music from Alexa to our Players. That phrase won't work

What do you mean the phrase doesn't work? Alexa replies with that phrase to me! My command is understood and Alexa replies in correct manner.

I read that document multiple times. One possible command is (Den is my room name)

Alexa, tell Blue Voice to play new music from Tidal in the DEN

I just substitute Tidal with Amazon, Alexa understands, but nothing happens.

I realise that TIDAL does support it, but Amazon does not. As mentioned please review the documentation.

Then how do I start ANY music from Amazon. Please provide a voice command that works.

Page 4 of your documentation (since you still invite me to read the documentation, and I did):

“Alexa, ask Blue Voice to play new music on Amazon”

    Nothing happens.

    Please see attachment.

Sadly this is always the case for this company. They removed my comment on this post. But their removed of my comment did not remove notifications for updates to the post.

Their approach to user feedback is quite a concern.

Regarding alexa, as mentioned in my removed post. As a skill there is a limit to what we can get from their products. They dont fully integrate like sonos or denon/heos. And their denial of the flaw in their implementation is the source of the problem.

Thank you for your feedback Darrel. I copied and pasted a page from their documentation. I am waiting for a reply.

I am just happy to receive a suggestion for any command that would trigger some music play from Amazon Music HD.

It wont work, it will only work if you make favorites and playlists even then its still inconsistent. It is not fully integrated as they advertised.

    Tony,

Still no reply regarding my inquiry. I used a voice command that is offered as an example in your documentation. I also attached a copy of your documentation page.

    Any comment?

Wow. 4 years later and this is still an issue for my node X. Alexa will handle start and stop commands, but I’m unable to get it to play music, even though it says it is on the playlist on blue os
