    Hi Marc

Direct chassis sources on the C388 such as a connected CD Player or Phone Preamp do not run through the BluOS MDC so cannot be detected as group-able streams. It is something that both Bluesound and NAD Engineers are aware of this limitation and continue to look at possibilities to hopefully overcome it in the future...

It has been 3 years ago since the response from Tony W. - Product Support Manager.

Any update on realizing this functionality to stream Direct chassis sources on the C388 through Bluos?

If your Bluesound and NAD engineers are aware and continue to look at possibilities for 3 years, I really hope they have achieved something in this area. Otherwise they have not really continued to look at possibilities.

    Thanks

    Frank

Our good friends at NAD Electronics have listened. Please see the new NAD C399 which will be their first product that includes MDC2 for bi-directional MDC communication.

This transceiver capability is a hardware limitation so cannot be included in current chassis models, but will be in all future chassis models that offer NAD's unique Module Design Components.

Tony, Thank you for fast response, however having just purchased a C388 with Bluos MDC module will not help me that much.

But future buyers can enjoy this.
