AnsweredPlease allow access to the new Tidal 'My Mixes' via BluOS.

Maybe it works only for Product Support Managers?

Hi Tony,
is it possible that the feature is only available in the USA? I am in Germany and here it does not work, neither with my Node2 nor my Powernode 2i. Both with Windows 8.3 und Player 8.3.13.

OK, now I am totally lost. We have been asking for this for a long time and now suddenly a message that says it is already supported for a long time.
I used the exact procedure described on my Mac and my Android tablet and both do not show any 'My Mixes'. So, it does n't work.
The same product manager (Tony W.) said a month ago that we had to contact Tidal to lobby for My Mixes support in their API. And now that same guy says that it is supported since the beginning of 2019. Come on...

I have a feeling Tony has a beta product that he is using - only available to product managers. Bluesound support is like a cartel owned by only one guy Tony which is scary. There are other products in the market with better apps and sound - start shopping for those and start dumping your subpar BS unit. Tony thinks we are all dump when he walks us through the update and how that will fix the issue - we all know how to do that and it doesn't work. WAKE UP Tony - not all of us have issues with our TIDA subscription. Be HONEST at least. Thanks,

I have sent an email to BlueSound support with a reference to this thread and the message posted by Tony W.
I wonder that their reaction will be, because this does n't make any sense to me.

ALL!
My apolgies - You have all had me going back and forth the past few hours finding out what went wrong. Turns out it was me who is in fact wrong. I have no excuse other than it's been a long and crazy time here at The Support Crew since we moved to a work from home model due to COVID-19.
I have misread my notes here. The request for the TIDAL API was in fact opened 18 months ago as we scrambled to get an updated API from TIDAL - it was moved to SOLVED in the Spring of this year from our Engineering Team. In my confusion this morning, I was in fact looking at a Beta Build on my system. A number of us here at Bluesound have been running Betas in our home as we are struggling to get BluOS 3.10 out the door without access to our QA Lab due to Emergency Measures here in place by The Government of Canada and the Province of Ontario during the pandemic.
I am sorry...
Rest assured - I have shown you it is coming in the next release; which leads you all to ask the question "When's that coming Tony?"
I don't have a date... our initial release schedule had mid-May but in March we had to move everyone into their home offices here just outside Toronto. This has come with some unique problems and some unique opportunities which has moved our timeline... but it is coming and we will tell you as soon as we have details planned

OK, thanks Tony for the explanation. I can understand that things can get challenging and confusing. Do n't worry about it.
At least you gave us a sneak preview of what's coming by posting the information and screenshots. That's the good news we have been waiting for. Say hi to the development team and tell them that their efforts are much appreciated. We can't wait for that new feature.

Thank you Tony for taking the time to dig into this issue and for the detailed response. We look forward to the update.

That's very good news Tony! Thank you :)

That's great news Tony. Thanks for clearing that one up. Makes perfect sense now. We appreciate the honest feedback and look forward to the new capability.

I really appreciate an honest response. So, thank you for that.
And yes indeed, this is good news, but with mixed feelings. It took some time and a lot of effort from us.
I don't want to be ungrateful, but Tidal is evolving and new options are emerging, such as 'recently played', 'Producers & Songwriters', 'Your History'. Will Bluos be able to keep up from now on?
Best option for me remains a native integration like Spotify has.

HI Pibipi
The question is not whether or not BluOS will be willing to keep up, the question is whether or not TIDAL will put these features in their API. TIDAL in fact does have one of the better APIs available to us, but it does take them some time to update documentation.
We will be happy to implement, once they publish.

Hi Tony,
I have to agree with user Pibipi. Tidal develops way faster than bluesound, and it would make much more sense to make use of their direct connection feature, as is the case with Spotify. I don't see the point of using an app that's less functional and runs 2 years behind schedule. Especially since streaming Tidal is arguably one of the main reasons people buy Bluesound products.
I'm sure Bluesound could figure out a way to unfold MQA within Tidal. Could you please give us an update on the Tidal direct ticket ?
Thanks and looking forward to the next release.
Alexander

Hi Tony,
Now you do it again. You point to Tidal. And that is precisely what worries me. I do not feel and see that you (Bluesounds and Tidal) take your responsibility to stand together for your customers. Only a joint effort will really make us happy.

Hi tony,
you didn’t reply on the suggestion to have a similar to Spotify integration for tidal. It’s not only the mixes I miss, but I miss all the other cleverness that is in the tidal app and not in the bluesound app. This is very annoying, as I pay double the amount to tidal than I would have paid Spotify or Apple, just for better sound quality AND a good app. Your integration is lacking so many things, like good suggestions for music etc. I sometimes think I can better use the tidal app and send the music over airplay, but then I am missing the better sound.
what is the reason for not letting bluesound owners enjoy the native tidal app experience?

Tony? See my question above.

Today I installed the latest update.............still no My Mix............................Sad :-(

Guess they don't want or are not allowed to use My Mix feature, like Roon. They don't have it, too. So i bought a Chromecast Audio and stream to it with the Tidal app. But then you loose MQA feature. Only Hifi Quality.

I was thrilled to see that there was a Bluesound app update. Supporting Tidal mymixes.
Unfortunately I still cant find them.
I logged out, reboot the Bluesound Node and logged into Tidal again.
But nothing?
Please Tom, tell us what to do.
I looked everywhere, also in My Music with al my playlists etc, but nothing.

Hello Robert,
With both your Bluesound players and app updated to 3.10, you should be able to find Tidal's My Mix under the My Music section of Tidal:

What a nice surprise so soon after the MQA session update. In Germany they say: What takes long will finally be good.

After all the complaining I did it's fair to say that I'm really happy with the Tidal Connect option.
THANK YOU!!!
