Unable to view composer name of music being played
Answered
One key piece of metadata is missing from what BluOS various apps display, its the composer name. When you play an album or a track you cannot know who the composer is which is in my opinion the key information for classical music.
Of course, various tricks exist to try to overcome that critical miss, but none is satisfactory and require editing of the tags which does not work for streamed music and is only possible for collections stored on a PC of NAS and is a lot of work for a large collection:
1-Add the composer name to the album name. That makes the album name longer, considering it is already impossible to display the full name, that makes the problem worse. In addition, it does not work for an album featuring different composers on different tracks.
2-Add the composer name to the track name, same problem as above regarding the length of that name.
3-Add the composer name to artist or album artist tag. That mixes information and creates again a length problem for correct display.
I would add that from a data perspective it is never good to use a field for another purpose of what it is intended for.
As long as the composer tag is used by the BluOS apps for library why not use it to display the information when we listen to the music. The best option would be just to add a displayed filed at album and track level. Another option would be to allow the info menu to display that tag or better to display all the metadata tags, the latter would be nice even if the first option is chosen.
Same problem with the Qobuz section of the application which in addition cannot sort/filter by composer name.

Hi Jacques
Thanks for the feedback. I do agree that altering your tags and adding in improper fields is not a real solution. I have forwarded your feedback to our Software Development team for future consideration.

Hmm it is a long time to wait, but I have also found it would be VERY usefull if the composernam could be shovn in a separat collumn .
I have a Node 2i and run it from my macsystem, it works perfect, but for any classical CDvolume containing a string of composers, picking the right one from the title of the pieces is not really working.
Just now I have added a 2 disk album with 40 items!!! I have checked the Album content in "Tag" and made sure composer etc are valid. But no composer name shows up in the overview screen.
I would prefer to have the option to show or hide the composer column

Well, it's been four years, and I for one would still very much like a way to display the composer of the current playing track - on Android and on Windows. It doesn't have to be visible all the time, but there should be something I can do in the ap to see this information. Very important for classical albums.
