    Hi Steven

Thanks for the feedback, we currently do not support APE. We have had a look at it but it is a bit of a dying format given the limited metadata options similar to WAV.

I have passed your feedback on to our Product Development Team for future consideration.

    Hello,

+1 vote for this feature. The missing APE support is my number 1 gripe with my Powernode 2 at this point.

Dying format or not, most of us (including myself) probably have CDs ripped in this format. Granted, all new rips I do are in FLAC, but I do not want to re-rip or convert all my existing library.

    Thank you,

    Etienne

There is 1 month passed in the mean time, is there any information you are able to share with us?

Looking forward to your news with interest.

    Regards,

    Steven

Guys, I have to agree with Tony on this one. APE, MPC, and most everything but FLAC and DSD are on the way out. I had to deal with this also since I had a bunch of old APE rips and although some of my devices could play some of them, nothing I had but foobar could play all of them. APE decoding is expensive compared to FLAC. A lot of embedded devices can't hack high bit-rate / compression APE files.

I broke my own policy and converted all my APE to FLAC... it took a few days.
