I'm aware, that my problem is in part a NAD problem, but as it occurs only in bluOs related situations, I contact you first.
Since three days I encounter the following problems with my NDC C368 with MDC bluOS 2 module:
- The whole amplifier freezes (last source was bluOS) and doesn't react to any commands on the remote control or the amp itself. Eventually I could change the source using the iPhone NAD-App and use the BluOS-App to stream internet radio
- The Amp goes into standby during playback of Spotify through the bluOs module (this happened three times yesterday night)
- The Amp doesn't react to volume changes through Apps any more. I first noticed this using the bluOS-App, streaming internet radio last sunday. Yesterday the same thing happened using Spotify. The NAD remote App and the actual remote control do work though. My iPhone does display the Symbol for the C368 and shows the volume bar going up and down, but the volume stays the same. I tried my wife's iPhone which we didn't update to iOS 12.1 yet, but the problem stayed present.
I read about the freeze up issue in some forums before buying into NAD/bluseound this summer, but my dealer in Lucerne, Switzerland assured me, that they sold a lot of C368/MDC bluOS combinations and there was only one, that needed it's bluOS-module to be replaced due to connection problems. I am very disappointed, reliability was one of the main features I chose bluesound for. I will send the link of this discussion to the dealer as well, because unless you have a workaround, that helps me get rid of these problems (or your friends at NAD) I will return my machine.
I can't stress enough how diappointed I was, when I learned that after remaining all mysterious about AirPlay 2 integration you chose to "follow the dark side" and offer AirPlay 2 only for your "new" models. It's not even the fact, that you can't offer AP2 for "older" models, that bothers me. It's your policy of remaining silent or giving misleading answers (like here: https://support1.bluesound.com/hc/en-us/community/posts/360010188093-AirPlay-for-NAD-C368-with-the-MDC-BluOS-2-WTF-). When people complained, you referred to Apple's policy of non-disclosure. From my point of view I would have been a nice touch to inform whether AP2 would need hardware- or software integration.
So much to line out, that my initial enthusiasm has much faded - in only a couple of months - and the newest problems brought me to the point of wanting to return the machine through it's warranty.
I would very much appreciate it, if you could help me out here!
