Brand new VAULT2 - taken from box but not used...for sale
Believe that I am jus going to sell my brand spanking new bluesound vault2, the fact it does not do wi-fi is hugely problematic and I have no idea how I missed this in my research. I didn't want a bullcrap NAS on my network for 1200.00 I wanted a media player (not sure if I failed horribly in my research including chats with crutchfield or if it's not advertised well etc) my entire intention was, yeah nice to have the built in storage but I want to connect directly to my stereo through my Wadia Di-122 DAC and play Hi-res directly through my main stereo. Putting this up directly connected in a spare room/office is just HUGELY disappointing
I will try over the next day or two to use a bridge but if that doesn't work (since it's not supported I read here...) I will be selling this device for $950.00 (unless I get it working this week)

I assume you have wifi in your home. Simply get an extender that plugs into a normal power outlet. Connect the the Vault to the extender with the Ethernet cable. Decent extender is less than $30.00.
Connect your Wadia Dac to the Vault via the optical out. Its what I have done. I have a Wadia DAC and it sounds very nice with that set up. Record in FLAC. Sound quality is close if not matching the original CD.
