Bluesound app using vpn

I use quite often my mobile phone to connect to my home network using a vpn connection.

When trying to start the Android bluesound controller app to control my pulse soundbar at home, just an error message occurs that I am not connected to the appropriate WLAN.

Since I am using a mobile phone connection with a vpn the error message is correct. But why do I have to be connected to the same WLAN and not just to my home network?

My PC is also not directly connected via WLAN. There is no such problem.

FYI: With a similar setup I have no problems to control my harmony hub at home with the corresponding app.

  Hello Rainer,

  Bluesound players are not compatible with any VPNs as it is not possible to handle Multicast traffic due to how a VPN works.
