    Hi Thor

Check your volume settings in the Spotify App vs the BluOS App when other sources are selected. If the problem persists, please select Help, Send Support Request so we may view your player log file and assist further.

    Hi,

Thanks for a response, but the issue isn't that Spotify volume is to high. The issue is that the volume of other sources is too low.

Regardless, when checking the volume settings of the Spotify app is seems to also update in the BluOS app.

    I will contact support.

Any news on this? I’ve got the same issue using my Sony Bravia smartTV. Spotify is like 50% louder.

Same issues here, I haven't been able to find any solution... It is very frustrating. Playing via netflix is barely better than my TV's built in speakers (Bluesound hooked up to Dali opticon 6s)

I'm having the same issue. I'm using a audioquest optical from brand new QLED tv to bluesound Node 2. I have the node hooked up to a Rotel RA 1572. I normally only have to keep my volume at 45-50 for any music from spotify/Tidal, but when using TV, I have to have it to at least 60 if not more...why?? I have volume at Fixed in settings

    Hi Jimmy

TV audio is mixed at different levels than music - generally 6-12db quieter. Try setting a Preset in the BluOS app for your TV where you can define a preferred volume level.

    Hi,

I’m experiencing the exact same difficulties. I have a Sony Bravia TV connected through an audioquest optical to a powernode 2. When switching between the optical (TV) and Spotify or Roon the sound difference is immense. I.e when going from TV to music the sound is way to laud and when moving the other way the TV can nearly be heard.

Any suggestions on how to manage this?

  • You can set a Preset so when you switch to TV that way, it will automatically turn the volume up and back to your Playlist turn the volume down. It does mean however you can only be selective when switching back to Music.

Keep in mind this is a problem with most audio systems, not just Bluesound.

    Hi Tony,

Sorry for my ignorance, but how do I set this up?

If I understand you correctly there is a way to set the start volume when moving from one input to another i.e. from optical (TV) to Spotify/Roon or the other way around when using the BluOS app or a remote control of some sort (I'm using a Logitech Harmony Hub). However if I were to start playback using Spotify Connect straight from the Spotify app having previously watched TV (i.e. the volume being set higher) I would still have the same issue, i.e. very loud music playback?

To be clear I'm not trying to say that Bluesound is worse than anyone else. I just switched over from an older NAD amp connected to a sonos connect (analog connection) and had never experienced this type of difference in volume when moving from one source to another. I just want to avoid terrifying the family with loud music every now and then.

Appreciate all the help I can get here.

    No there is not.

But you can set a predetermined volume level when creating a preset. There are limits on what can be made a preset. Here's how Presets work; https://support.bluos.net/hc/en-us/articles/360012637674
