Node 2 - Coax Dig. Out has a very loose connection
AnsweredHello,
I've been using my Node 2 for a couple months now, and apart from some album artwork not showing up in my library from my network share and the occasional crash when updating said library, i've really enjoyed the player and think it sounds pretty great.
However, I have an issue with a super loose connection on my Dig. Coax Out on the Node 2, and i'm wondering if someone here can help me out. I'm using a 6' Blue Jeans Digital Audio Coax Cable from the Node 2 into the mcintosh integrated dac's coax input. The connection on the back of the mcintosh is extremely snug, but the connection on the Node 2 is so slight that there is basically no resistance if you pulled on it. I've tried both ends of the cable, and even tried a completely different cable with the same results. Snug fit on the mcintosh coax input, extremely loose on the Node 2 output. Anyone have any ideas? I'll try to link the exact cable if you are allowed to on here.

Hi Sam
The measurement of the barrel is an industry standard. That being said there is a slight recess about 1.5 mm around the barrel... make sure you push in the cable all the way.

This is reference cable. No way this will fit. Can I mill out more room near the Coax input. Assuming the material is plastic.

Hi Mark
We do not recommend altering the NODE you will void your warranty - I suggest you select a different cable as mentioned it is an industry standard hole.
