Node 2 and external DAC standby

I am using my Node 2 with an external DAC / pre amplifier. My external DAC doesnt go into standby mode when connected to the Node 2 (no difference between opt or coax). How can I configure the Node 2 not to send any signal to my DAC when there is no music playing?

Hi Hannes
It should do that automatically after 15 minutes of idle. There is nothing to configure and you cannot disable it. Please check your Optical Cable or your DAC troubleshooting guide.

My Chord Qute EX DAC never sleeps when connected to the Node 2. It does so with other sources, just not the Node 2.

Hey Tony,
I've removed the DAC and put another in its place. Perhaps if the mood strikes I will do as requested. FWIW, it's been this way since purchasing my Node 2 in April 2016.

It could also be the cable. Please make sure you are using a quality cable.

I assure you different cables and connections were tried. Same result. This is the reason I removed the DAC in the first place .. the Qute EX color-changing porthole shines continuously and bright. The only time it sleeps is when I put the Node 2 in vacation mode (which I hate to do).
