N132 Can no longer see standard Music library on Windows 11 PC
AnsweredAll has been working well for about two months with my N132. Today, suddenly, the player can no longer recognize the Music library on my Windows 11 PC. I am using BluOS 4.12.0. The only recent change is that my internet service was out for a few hours earlier today. I have been able to restore service by copying my Music directory to the root of my C drive and setting that as a local share, but I would really prefer that my Windows managed Music folder be accessible as a library source. I tried uninstalling the BluOS controller app, resetting the N132, deleting the BluOS user, and deleting the BluOS references in C:\Users\<username>\AppData\Roaming. Then reinstalling and running as a new install. No luck..Something in your install is not being cleared on an uninstall.

Problem resolved. For anyone experiencing a similar issue - The Windows BluOS user somehow lost its effective read privileges to my Music folder out of blue after months of working properly. Even though read privileges were still showing in the folder Security properties tab, the folder advanced sharing (*not* the security tab) Effective Access showed BluOS user as now being blocked by share. The fix in my case was to go to Music (folder) > Properties > Sharing > Advanced Sharing > Permissions where I had to manually add the BluOS user under Share Permissions with Read permissions. Works again.
