    Hi Gabor

    Thanks for clarifying with your post. DIRAC is an independent 3rd party software. Although it is available on Many NAD Products and now some Bluesound products, it is also offered by other Hi-Fi manufacturers.

    According to their support site;

    License transfers are possible if you are selling your hardware device and the new owner wants to take ownership of the Dirac Live license, or if you experienced hardware failure and are using a replacement device of the same model. In either case, please create a ticket through our Help Center, and our support staff will initiate the transfer.

    Transferring or using licenses across multiple devices or models is not supported. For example, if you bought a license for an NAD M10 and are now buying a Denon X3800H, you will need to purchase a new license, as your NAD license is not transferable to the Denon.

    They will be happy to answer your more specific questions at https://helpdesk.dirac.com/

    Why buy a DIRAC licence if you don’t plan on keeping the player for a very long time? Given it’s only available for the Icon, the most expensive of the streamers what are you going to buy that’s significantly better?

    no I have a node n130 Dirac works on it. I don’t think you got the point, what if the player breaks or i decide to get another streamer for whatever reason; we are keep changing sound equipment. I just paid 250$ but if i sell my Bluesound node i can’t take Dirac off and put it on my new streamer again. Why? Because they want me to purchase again. sad world and its not 50$ either… i would love an option at least to extend my license for another streamer. Not talking about the guys with multiroom if you have 5 rooms it costs you 1250$. not right in my opinion. but as i said it’s my opinion.

    What is there to break in a streamer? If you’re going to buy another streamer don’t get the DIRAC licence.

    Hi Tony, this was helpful many thanks for clarifying it. I will also write to Dirac, I couldn’t find anywhere stating at the purchase point that this is for a single product until I’ve read the terms and conditions. I find this misleading that’s all. Br
