Making a Folder in Local Library as a Favorite or Preset
AnsweredI have a large local library folder which I'd like to make it into a Preset or Favorite.
It's connected as a network share. Is it possible to make it into a Favorite or Preset?

Load the tracks in this folder in the play queue (autofill on) and save the queue as a BluOS Playlist. Make a preset for this playlist. Done.

If you have indexed your network share via the music library section of the Bluos app you can easily make an album a favourite.

I don't care for albums. I have a folder of 8000 of my favorite tracks.. I want THAT folder to be on random play at all times... I'd like a Preset to do THAT.

What's the difference between a BluOS playlist and a preset?

This work around only reflects the songs in the folder at the time it was performed.
Any files added to the local folder will NOT be played as a Favorite ?

A preset points the streamer software to the playlist and sets the volume if so wanted. If you add new tracks in the folder, you need to reindex the player in order to be able to include these new tracks in a playlist. Delete the former playlist, reload the folder in the playqueue and save again with old or new name.

That makes total sense.. wish there's an more automatic or straight forward way of doing this!

I've requested this feature more than one year ago and at that time someone else did comment that this feature was already requested a year before. Apparently it's still in evaluation phase ;)
