Forcing Tidal/Amazon Sync - Is there an Undocumented API Call?
AnsweredI've been digging into how to solve the synchronization lag between streaming services (like Tidal) and the BluOS Controller on my PC. For example, when I add a new album or favorite a track using Tidal through a web browser, it can take hours for that change to appear in my BluOS library.
I'm hoping to find a way to trigger this update on demand, and I'm wondering if anyone has found a more advanced solution.
Here's what I've already tried without success:
Using the "Reindex Music Collection" function in the settings.
Rebooting all hardware/software.
Logging out and logging back into the Tidal music service within the BluOS Controller.
Making sure my player's firmware and the controller app are always on the latest version.
I'm using my own DNS but I've tested Google's & cloudflare's.
These standard fixes don't seem to force an immediate sync.
This led me to explore the BluOS Custom Integration API pdf. I've read through the documentation and can see how to control playback, browse the currently cached library, and check player status. However, there doesn't appear to be an endpoint to actually trigger a new sync with a cloud service.
The document does mention that it's a "subset of the API requests documented in the full BluOS API Control Protocol". This makes me optimistic that a command might exist, but it's just not in the public-facing pdf.
My question to the community is:
Has anyone discovered an undocumented API endpoint, or any other programmatic method to force BluOS to immediately refresh its library cache from a streaming service?
My goal is to have a reliable way to ensure my library is always up to date. Currently the controller updates...whenever it decides to? Any insights from power-users or developers on this forum would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

This timing issue is controlled by the music services in their SDKs provide to BluOS. There is no API call to do this.
