Windows 11
AnsweredMany of us may be upgrading to Windows 11. There will be issues:
1) Before physically removing any share drive hardware (Music Library) it is important to FIRST remove it from the BluOS Controller app. If you do not then BluOS cannot add another share drive again. The BluOS Controller will hang trying to add the share drive. The only known fix for this is to do a factory reset on the Node Device. To do this, power off the Node. Power it back on and press and hold the red play button until the status light starts blinking red, about 20 to 30 seconds.
2) To create a share drive on Windows 11:
A) Right click on the desired folder and select properties. Select the sharing tab and then share. Add Everyone.
B) Right click on the desired folder and select security. Add Everyone to the permissions, only Read and Execute are needed.
C) Control Panel->All Control Panel Items->Network and Sharing Center->Change Advanced Sharing Settings->
Network Discovery ON
File and Printer Sharing ON
Now click on All Networks->Password Protected Sharing OFF
I hope that this saves someone a few headaches!
