Mac Sequoia will not allow creation of local or network shares
AnsweredI've tried a hundred times to create a share on my Mac Studio running Sequoia 15.5
Local shares using the BluOS Controller app will not work. I've tried creating a local share on every drive and folder on my machine, both internal and external drive locations. Never works.
I've tried creating network shares using IP address, NetBIOS name, etc. Everything is configured according to the availalbe help files, but it cannot create any share. I've added a specific user with Admin priveledges for Bluesound and it still will not connect. I've even shared my entire computer and turned off firewall, but nothing will allow a share connection.

Another user here, can confirm Sequoia does share successfully but I use a NAS so the Mac does not have to be on 24/7.
Can the BluOS App on your Mac see and control your Bluesound devices, if yes that’s a good start.Have you enabled SMB on the Mac in addition to turning sharing on?

External drive sharing on the Mac is and has always been an issue as only certain formatted drives will share correctly, this does not apply to internal devices.
Can you actually see and connect to the share on your Mac using an iPhone / iPad or other networkable device?
Any VPN or Antivirus software can block connections, so for testing turn them off.
If you still have issues in the BluOS App please select Settings, Send Support Request, the Bluesound Support Crew will be able review the log file and take a closer look.
