BluOS crashes after newest update
AnsweredHello support folks. This will be long and detailed so that you can, hopefully, help me out. Installed the latest BluOS Controller app update on my iPad (I think it's from July 10, 2025 or close to that date). At that point, the interface couldn't load. It would try for a couple minutes, then the entire app simply crashed. I went through ALL of the following in order to try and rectify it:
1) Restarted the iPad
2) Restarted the Bluesound Player
3) Restarted the Router
4) Restarted the network attached storage (NAS)
5) every possible configuration of the above (about ten more iterations)
6) Tried the app on my Android phone, and it worked fine. At this point I restarted the BluOS controller app on my iPad and tried playing the album I had queued on my phone, and it played fine and continuously for over an hour at which point I had to leave and turned it off. The BluOS Controller app STILL couldn't load the interface and would crash every couple minutes, yet the album kept playing.
7) "Offloaded" the app from my iPad then "reinstalled"
8) Deleted the app from my iPad then reinstalled. As you likely know, when you delete an app from an iPad, it doesn't remove the entire app. It saves the app, so when you go back to the app store and reinstall it, it simply reestablishes the most recent version you had installed on you iPad, rather than creating a new instance of the app.
At this point, I relaunched the BluOS Controller app, and when it searched for my player, it would try for about 10 seconds and then crashed again. I went through the following procedure as suggested by Tony W. from this support question:
"
Please restart your router, wait 5 minutes, restart your NAS, wait 5 more minutes then restart your Bluesound Player and any other devices that may be connected to your NAS. Wait 5 more minutes then relaunch the App.
If problems persist after this, please select Settings, Send Support Request in the BluOS App so our Support Crew can investigate further."
Because the app will not launch, I am unable to send a support request.
What you will probably tell me is I need to update my iPad iOS. I checked it, and it says I have the most recent install and there is no option to "update" my iOS.
I have very little installed on my iPad and no videos or pictures saved to it, so I am certain it is not a memory issue.
I am out of options at this point and would love it if you could help me out.
Thank you in advance.
Ian

Please check if the iOS version is 12.5.7.BluOS Controller 4.10.0 on iOS 12.5.7 crashes and cannot run. This issue has already been reported and the engineering team has confirmed the symptoms, but the issue itself has not yet been fixed.0

@gonzaemon I am the one the support team was working with to identify and fix the issue. They are going to fix it in the next firmware release. Thanks for the heads up, though.
