N130 Node Subwoofer Signal Path
AnsweredSummary: Subwoofer setup volume is not working during Dirac volume test of the Dirac Live setup
Microphone: bluesoundcalibrationkit
Description: The master volume test setup works for the main channel L and R but no test volume for the subwoofer. Signal chain is: node- coax- fosi ZD3 dac- xlr- rogue rp-9- xlr to svs sb-5000 sub
I have enabled the subwoofer toogle in Bluesound app, but the only way to get a test sound in Dirac is via the sub out on the Node directly connected to the subwoofer bypassing the DAC and preamp completely.

Hi Jason,
To run the Dirac Live calibration properly, the subwoofer must be connected directly to the device that is running Dirac, in this case, the Bluesound NODE. This is why you’re only hearing the subwoofer test tone when it's plugged into the Node’s sub out.

Thanks for the response.
It would be nice to know this before spending a lot of money on the DIRAC license.
I do appreciate how DIRAC improved the SQ of the mains still going through the external DAC and preamp.
Any chance this gets updated in the future to include the subwoofer external Dirac control?
