Enhanced Album picture size support
AnsweredRecently I have been enhancing my album pics from 1400x1400 to 3000x3000, this causes a limitation on the jpg size to exceed the 600kb size limit in BluOS.
Can the size limit be increased, or allow for 'real time downsize rendering' of the album cover ?

Hi Guy,
With Optimize Artwork ENABLED, the BluOS firmware is not concerned with the actual resolution of the file (300x300, 500x500, 1024x1024). The limit is only on the size of the artwork file. BluOS resizes any external graphic file larger than 600 KB but less than 4 MB in size to a 600x600 JPG. Portable Network Graphic files (.png) are also resized and converted to 600x600 JPG. Hi Mark, thanks for that info and link. I did enable. The 'large' art did not resolve. I then re indexed, but still no joy. I also reloaded all artwork, and still no change.
Is it a case of deleting and re adding the library link and ensuring the flag is set ?
To give context, the files are FLAC, the art is embedded in the files, and also external as a JPG in the folder.
Edit Update - I did 'remove selected shares' and then re added the share - ensuring the enable art was on. This then reindexed and was successful in showing all the art. Hoorah. However, the downside was the Network share path was not 'showing', but if you try and re add, is states 'share already exists', and it can play files, but not showing the path I believe is a bug.
As a result, I did a factory reset on the Nano, I ensured the Enable Artwork was on, and then added the file path again. All files loaded and show the art correctly and the path is showing correctly too.
So as per the above, there appears to be a bug when you delete and then re add the same network share. And an enhancement/suggestion is the 'Optimize Artwork' be defaulted to 'On'
