Vault 2i loosing its vocation?

... or at least part of it: the music library i have built on the hard drive has simply vanished. It does not display anymore in the app, it is no longer visible in my files explorer and ... and ripping a CD does not work anymore (the app says ripping impossible due to... lack of memory (which is absolutely impossible: more than 1TB should still be free).
Any hint from the community?
