Replace Powernode 2 with M32
AnsweredHi there
I'm considering replacing my Powernode 2 with a Nad M32 with MDC BluOs 2i module as it will give me better connectivity for my TT, the potential to re-add a CD player and provide overall better sound.
My question is that I have a fairly odd main setup - i.e.
TV --> Pulse Soundbar+ via HDMI eARC.
Powernode 2 --> connected to a pair of Spendor speakers - acting as "unofficial" rear speakers.
The soundbar and the Powernode2 are connected as a 'normal' group in the Bluesound app (not as a Home Cinema group nor as a fixed group). They appear as "Soundbar" in Roon which is used to integrate the components with Tidal and a Zen Innuos Mk1 mini.
Couple of questions:
Is the M32 Roon ready ?
If I replaced the Powernode 2 in this scenario, would the M32 simply appear in a Bluesound group in the same way as it does now - e.g. Soundbar+3 ?
I'm interested - because the existing combination of Pulse Soundbar and Powernode 2/Spendors is great - they work surprisingly well in tandem for both music and TV, even though they're not set up in a home cinema way.
I know I asked a very similar question about the potential to add a C399 - I will also ask this question on the NAD and Roon forums.
Thanks
