Feature Request: HDMI eARC Volume Control for All Group Members
AnsweredSituation:
I recently set up a Bluesound NODE (N130) with my TV via HDMI eARC to connect to my existing Bluesound speakers (2x Pulse 2i + Pulse Sub+). I use the NODE for audio playback from my TV (via the Pulse speakers) and also for music playback through Roon.
The devices are grouped in the BluOS app, connected via LAN, and all are running the latest firmware.
Issue:
I’ve encountered an issue with volume control: when using the TV remote (HDMI eARC), the volume adjusts only on the NODE, while the Pulse 2i speakers remain at their current volume. Although the group volume in the app visually updates, only the NODE responds. In contrast, volume control works seamlessly across all devices when using Roon.
Request:
Could the HDMI eARC volume control be enhanced to adjust the volume of all group members simultaneously? If this functionality is not currently available, is it planned for a future update?
Thank you for considering this request!

Hi Matthias,
Thanks for your feedback. I will be forwarding your feedback to our quality assurance and development team for future update consideration.
As a work around, you can use the BluOS app to control the volume of the group you created. -
Hi,
I’m following up on the previously discussed feature request regarding HDMI eARC volume control for grouped players. Could you provide an update on whether this functionality has been implemented, or if it is planned for an upcoming release? The expected behavior is straightforward:
HDMI eARC volume adjustments from the TV should apply to the single group that includes the eARC-connected player, not just the player itself. This is standard for a proper multiroom audio system. Currently, only the NODE responds to eARC volume commands, while the grouped speakers remain at their previous levels. This issue has been known for quite some time, and it’s surprising that such a fundamental multiroom feature was not included from the beginning—especially considering these are premium products marketed for high-quality multiroom audio. Group volume works correctly through other sources such as Roon, so the inconsistency with HDMI eARC is quite noticeable.
As it stands, HDMI eARC playback does not behave like a complete multiroom audio implementation.
A clear status update or roadmap information on whether this is being addressed would be greatly appreciated.Thank you.
