Track Gain
AnsweredI turned on Track Gain on my Node2i & Vault 2 but it doesn't work. The volume of the tracks on my playlists are not affected at all. Does anyone else have this problem?

The VAULT does not automatically add replay gain values when ripping, as Alain says you need to add the values yourself. There are quite a few programs available that run on a PC or Mac that can do this for you by connecting to the VAULT’s network share.
If however you are playing back music from a streaming service these typically also do not have replaygain values on their tracks.

Did you also edit the tags of the tracks to include the replaygain tag?

Thank you for your response.
I have JRiver Media, I'll see if I can do it with JRiver Media.
Thanks again.

So, if I understand correctly, my Blue Sound components just use the replay track gain info on the tracks, Blue Sound does not actually apply the gain, correct?

That is right, the BluOS replaygain function needs the information in the metadata to correct the volume level in order to get a more uniform listening experience. Many metadata editors have a plugin to calculate the desired values. If applied on flac files, the data does not change the original content of the track but simply signals the processor which amplification to use. I suggest you do some reading on the subject.
