Equalizer like the WiiM mini would be great
Just wondering why Bluesound does not offer an equalizer feature like my (very) cheap WiiM mini does? To be honest, it's such a game-changer for me I have switched over to the WiiM (from my Node) for use on my living room system (connected via optical to NAD T757). Would rather use my Node though ...

Probably because Bluesound have added Dirac to some products and going to add it to few more products later this year. PEQ is great but for me the results with Dirac have been outstanding.

Don't you have to pay for Dirac?

If your NAD T757 has been upgraded to 4K and Dolby Atmos using the VM130i and AM230 MDCs, DIRAC is included... and so is BluOS for that matter.

No upgrades - just using a Node (currently using the T757 for mostly 2 channel audio these days, so no need for 4k). Those upgrades would run me $2000 CAN, so won't happen on a unit that old.
So Dirac will be available on the Node eventually? If so, do I have to pay for it?

Bluesound will be adding DIRAC capability to the NODE N130 and NODE X and POWERNODE N330 (sorry, the NODE 2i and earlier will not have processing capability for DIRAC) in the coming months. If you are unsure of which model you have, it will indicate on the back panel.
DIRAC will be purchased after market starting at $159 for the limited and $249 US for the full frequency.(About $220-230 for Limited or $350-360 Canadian for Full Frequency - that includes HST).
Check out https://www.bluesound.com/can/dirac for more details.

Thank you for clarifying - looks like I'm out of luck with all my Bluesound stuff then.
So can you confirm you will not be offering any kind of standard equalizer functionality (like my $140 WiiM), but rather expect users to pay a significant fee for DIRAC providing they own newer components that even support it?

Hi all,
Indeed sad Bluesound not offering any EQ feature but given it has been asked for years by the community (literally 6+ years at least) think we can say they won't do so anytime soon for reasons mentioned by Seppi (prefer going the paying Dirac route which is fair).
Already awesome to see they now implement Dirac to the Bluesound range rather than keeping it for the pricy NAD range. WiiM probably stimulated that move but anyway that is great news for all Bluesound users!
