    Hi Vitus,

Apologies for the delay. I have forwarded your feedback to our development and partner relations team for future update consideration.

As to your Apple Airplay connection to the Bluesound FLEX, I've escalated your feedback to a support request. A member of our support crew will reach out to you soon.

    Thanks for #LivingHiFi

OP, may I ask what is the nature of this recent "self-destruction mode" by Sonos? I must have missed it. I still own Sonos players.

Just like thousands of other users, since the S2 app, I can't use a local library with more than 65k titles. Before that, I used to listen to my ripped CDs in Lossless quality through a Subsonic library with the additional Bonob app. Spotify still can't do this without additional costs. Also, the Sonos "solution" for local libraries is garbage. Additionally, it seems that since the S2 app, every user interaction, including listening habits, etc., is completely running through Sonos servers. Apart from the delay, this is unacceptable to me for privacy reasons. As for the self-destruction mode... that was meant ironically. Take a look at the Sonos hardware listings on eBay. Many are selling their systems.

One reason I switched to Bluesound is the 65K track limit for Sonos. Actually because of my tags, I capped out at around 38K tracks and had to split my library and switch between them, re-indexing each time. I block requests by Sonos players to their servers to prevent auto-updates which would brick my older units, including two 1st gen handheld controllers. The company has pretty much abandoned their original customers, those who curate their own libraries rather than use streaming services.
