I wish a (hard)powerswitch on the back of the Node Icon. There are a situations, that you have to make a hard reset of your device, to solve a certain problem or in normal cases to put off the power by planned longduring inactivity. Now you have to disconnect the Powercord, wich is not very practical.

  Your Bluesound NODE ICON comes with a modern PSU designed to be always on and always ready. This is because Blueosund Players, when restarted, must establish a network connection, sync with other players and update. This process can often take as long as 3-5 minutes not unlike a PC.

  When idle for 15 minutes, your NODE ICON does go into low power stand by as required by EU law consuming less than 3W of power. 

  Powerering off your NODE ICON repeatedly will prematurely age your power supply as it is designed to be always on. You should not have to restart it repeatedly. If however you do require a restart, this can easily be done form the app by selecting Settings, Diagnostics, Reboot.
