TV -> Node -> Flex2i
AnsweredHi everyone!
I've got a Node 2i- Which works perectly well connected to the TV with HDMI arc - all that connected to my AV receiver with a 2.1 setup. I'm considering buying 2 BS Flex2i to have a surround sound, but I was just wondering if that would actually work.
Can the NODE 2i send the TV data/sound to the Flex2i? The NODE being a receiver, I'm not quite sure it can send anything... I don't know. I just would like to know before buying anything "useless".
Thanks for your answer ! Cheers

Unfortunately not but other Bluesound devices can as per this chart…

Hi Seppy,
Thanks for your answer, even though I'm a little disappointed (but not surprised).
Just to know, is that due to a lack of specific hardware in the NODE or is it just BS that doesn't enable the service on the software? (Maybe un ulterior software update could enable pairing à NODE to a surround installation - I hope)...
Cheers,

I am just another user, my take is that Bluesound have no control over the amplifier device you have attached to the NODE and thus cannot make the audio timings / sync correctly. You will note from the chart that all the front channel devices have amplifiers built in.

You're right thanks!
I reckon the only way for the setup to work would be to by-pass the NODE through a BS HUB, allowing multiple devices to be connected with an HMDI/TV (but not a real "surround").
Anyways, thanks again for your help, you just saved me a fair amount of money!0
