Powernode 2i sticks
AnsweredFollowed by 2 people
I am the owner of a Powernode 2i. It used to be a nice looking device. In the meantime, the soft touch surface has turned into a sticky fly trap. Bluesound has simply chosen a poor material for the intended use. In Germany, DALI does the distribution, they only offer me a housing with replacement at my expense - for a few hundred euros. But the fault clearly lies with you.
I had honestly imagined a different way of dealing with your customers. You don't own up to your mistakes and let the customer pay for them, I don't think that's okay.

Bluesound dropped the soft touch coating on all new devices a few years ago, it was a popular choice with many manufacturers but unfortunately none could not foresee the sticky issue that transpired.
There are quite a few posts on this forum on how to address the sticky coating, have a search.

I have no intention of tinkering with the enclosure, and what do I care about the decisions of other manufacturers? There were obviously enough manufacturers who were clever enough not to use the material. Bluesound made a stupid choice here and should fix the problem, but not at the expense of the customer.
