Vault misidentifies CD
AnsweredFollowed by 2 people
Haven’t experienced this before. Attempted to rip a CD and the vault2i completely misidentified the CD. The vault associated an incorrect artist name, disc title and track title. I could overcome this by editing the file name and tag info however the correct CD has 11 tracks and the misidentified CD has 9 tracks. Only 9 tracks were ripped. I’ve tried multiple times and each time the CD is incorrectly identified. How can I overcome this so either the CD is correctly identified or all the tracks on the CD are ripped and I can manually edit?

Like many ripping software, the BluOS depends on external metadata providers.
If the data at the provider is erroneous you cannot get a correct rip.
Best send the name/number/... of the CD to the Bluesound support so they can contact the provider and request corrective action.
In the meantime use a PC or laptop to rip and set the metadata right.
