    Hi Richard,

Yes this can be done but you need to to use either FAT32, NTFS, or Linux ext4. There are apps available to do this but they are not cheap. Perhaps you have a friendly neighbour or family member with a PC who can help? I have not tested extFAT but perhaps you can?

Also make sure your SSD does not draw too much power, external hard drives often need an additional PSU to work properly. Would suggest testing with a USB memory stick and copy one or two albums onto to it and see how you go.

As for housekeeping I have folders / directories with the artist name and then folders beneath with individual albums. Compilations are in a various artist folder. Saying that Bluesound does not care just as long as your metadata tags are correct.

BluOS will index each song, hopefully into albums, again just as long as the tags are correct.

Thanks for the helpful reply. I’m pretty sure the node 2i doesn’t support exFat formatted usb drives unfortunately. So I’ll have to go the NTFS route.

You cannot write to an NTFS drive with MacOS unless you buy additional software unfortunately.
