WiFi Connection to Pulse 2i Stereo Pair SOLVED!
AnsweredI own two Pulse 2i, which I operate as a stereo pair. The sound quality is excellent, when they are paired. And this has been the problem.
First one of the pair, then the other has had WiFI connectivity problems, despite a 'good' to 'excellent' diagnostic WiFi connection.
So, first with one than the other, I bi-passed the WiFi 'module' in each Pulse 2i, by placing a WiFi extender with LAN output at the stereo pair site. When the second acted up, I got a LAN splitter. Now both in the stereo pair operate flawlessly.
Before doing this I began to think God was against me. Sometimes the pair would play stereo to die for (well, in the kitchen). And then, for no apparent reason, one of the pair would go into an intermittent (~30 second cycle) connection/unconnected WiFi nightmare.
To their credit, Bluesound support offered to analyze my data. But this solution is so stable, I no longer need help. (I had the electronic mess, WiFi extender, LAN splitter, wires behind some framed 'kitchen' themed pics.
I don't know if anyone else has had such problems which cost me many hours of frustration but this product, the Pulse 2i has a problem with a stable WiFi connection.
I can only recommend the stereo pair for the sound, superb!

Great news Paul
Yes sync issues or Audio Dropouts are almost always networking-related. Glad to hear you resolved this.

I'm having the same issue but with an older Vault 2i and a new Nano. I believe the problem is related to latest firmware update. My wireless is perfect and very fast!!!!

Hi Tony, I don't think my problem is network related. Both of my devices are hard wired.

Hi Tony,
You said "Yes sync issues or Audio Dropouts are almost always networking-related. Glad to hear you resolved this."
You can't be happy with the way I resolved this, surely. I bi-passed faulty Pulse 2i wi-fi.
I have many other devices including a Sony TV running 4k and atoms data streams and they are as stable as a rock. Not the Pulse 2is!
I'm not the only one with such complaints.
Paul
