I am a user but there is absolutely no way I would want “The Beatles” filled under T, why you ask?

Because when you walk into a record store, you expect to find The Band, The Beach Boys and The Beatles under B and not T.

Same applies when browsing my music library both electronically and my physical CD collection.

I ask because, I disagree. My Library is MY record store ... And when I make and maintain things like  playlists I want to see the artists displayed as they are properly named. i.e.

    The Beatles

    The Doors

    The Tragically Hip

    The Rolling Stones

I never refer to any of these bands without The included.

My real question is WHY does BlueSound decide to override the way I name the album artist in teh metadata?

If I wanted to name, and sort "The Beatles" as "Beatles, The" I, as the user could easily do that within the metadata. Indeed the Artist names are often stored differently in teh metadata by different vendors and I physically change them to all be consistent ... hence I would prefer that BlueSound did NOT override my choices with the metadata.

As far as I can tell they do not override other user choices, like Genre ...

And of Course you are welcome sort The Beatles by B or the Doors by D ... I respect your preferences.

This response says it is "Official" but you ar ea user. Can you please advise in what "Official" capacity you are responding.

    Thank you
