More problematic is the fact that some complete albums are missing, Bluesound oS sees the folders for those album but finds them empty ( which is obviously wrong....). I have played with the

iTunes artwork is not compatible with anything outside the Apple universe, had a similar conversation with my eldest son earlier today about how to fix his artwork that’s in Apple Music.
The quickest way is to use a metadata editor, I use one called Bliss and this finds missing artwork and corrects errors.
The missing albums however need a bit more investigation, I would recommend you contact support. In the BluOS App please select Settings, Send Support Request, so the Bluesound Support Crew can review the log file and take a closer look.

If these albums were downloaded from iTunes they may have DRM and so are not playable by any app other than Apple Music or iTunes.

Hi there,
All albums are CDs that were copied using iTunes (.mp4a), they can be played by everything on earth0 -
The problem is that for BS indexer the track files are not in the folder…

I'm just another Bluesound user, many of my files were initially ripped using iTunes and I have no issues with them playing in BluOS.

I wonder whether this might be the issue:
MP4A audio tracks can be played by Apple media players (Quicktime, iTunes) and all other players that support MPEG-4/ALE playback. However, for third-party players, changing the extension from .mp4a to .mp4 (or .m4a) may be required.

Thank you Brian,
No problem with the file type itself, there is circa 100 tracks in the library and that read OK at 90%; the problem is rather with the file structure I should think; or some hidden folder. attributes…0 -
By the way, I installed Plex Media Server on the Raspberry pi where my library is implemented on a NAS: it indexed and polished this iTunes library like a breeze… I would still prefer to access it through BlueSound OS because the Plex solution requires the reading and streaming to be done from a phone, tablet or PC, I’d rather not.
