Volume control for 'headphones'
AnsweredI have an AudioEngine paired to a Vault 2i but the only way I could get it to work was by 'pretending' it was a pair of earphones. Consequently, the volume control on the app doesn't work because the assumption has been made that earphones have their own volume control. This means the volume on any particular track is essential random and controlling it via the volume coontrol on the AudioEngine is inconvenient (to say the least!)
Any chance of including a volume control on the app for devices that need to be paired as earphones?

Hi Cliff
The Bluetooth output on your VAULT is designed for headphones and not Bluetooth Speakers. Consider connecting your active speakers via COAX or Analog out of your VAULT for a better experience.

Hi Tony,
Thanks for your reply.
In order to connect the AudioEngine speaker, I was recommended by BlueSound Support to install them as though they were headphones. This works, but the only way to control the volume is via the physical volume control on the AudioEngine. This is because the BlueSound designers made the assumption that most modern headphones have their own built-in volume control.
To connect the AudioEngine via Coax or the Analog out would involve running cable through several rooms in the house, which is neither practicable nor desirable. One of my main reasons for choosing BlueSound was that it didn't require lots of wiring.
So, to repeat my request, any chance of including a volume control on the app for devices that need to be paired as earphones? This is a request for a future feature in the app.

Hi Cliff
To be clear - it looks like you asked if it could be done, we said yes. It is however not what we would generally recommend. What you truly want is to consider a NODE NANO in the next room.
Thanks for #Living HiFi
