    If the volume is being controlled by the NODE, then yes this is standard. You should however review the sub-woofer documentation and set the correct baseline phase and volume on that as a baseline.

    @Tony,  I forgot to ask is there a option to set the "Crossover" frequency in the Node/app?
    And when set, does it still output full range via digital out when a sub is connected? (I would need it to NOT send full-range audio as I am trying to fix bad room nodes)

    Crossover is adjusted in the App yes...

    When SUBWOOFER is enabled, full frequency is NOT sent to the speakers, just content above the crossover.

    And just to verify, that includes the optical/coax (Digital) output as well ? 
    IE they do not send full range when a Sub is connected?
