Logical Manual Group mode : Additional useful feature easy to do
AnsweredHi to ALL,
After having build manually a Logical Group , using the link icon :
( refering to the 'interlaced double square' in a Circle @ Player level )
At BluOS App level, the User has option to modulate the volume at both level :
— 1 — @ Group level.
— 2 — @ individual device level inside the Logical Group.
BUT as of today,
this behavior is not available at Hardware Device level, since :
... when touching the + or — buttons of the TouchCap(Pad?) panel, this only affect the volume of the Local Device. Ok, Nice !! but incomplete.
.
Now, Think about :
-- 1 --
How could be nice to have an additional command by a specific "gesture action" on the existing TouchCap(Pad?) panel, allowing to also "Pause || / Start" ( >|| ) the whole Group when desired.
—> this could be done by combining at the same time, the 3 buttons such as :
a 'long' touch onto : << & >|| & >>
since ALL(or most of all) BluOS devices have these 'symbols'/commands,
(Nad devices having a command panel, too, since I got one too).
-- 2 --
BTW, also regarding action onto Volume ( + or — ), a similar improvement can be achieve at Logical Group Level :
— to increase Volume : a 'long' touch onto : << & +
— to reduce Volume : a 'long' touch onto : << & –
... and others supplemental combinations are probably possible.
This should not be that difficult to develop and test, and would be an additional comfort easing the use, with instant reacting,
... compared to having to wait the App to restore & update the bluOS status, before you can touch the Start/Pause or Volume...
... this would be especially useful, when the phone rings
... which can be a complicated moment sometimes.
Hoping you will hear this request that could easily improve the Customer Experience (Cx) for all BlueOS devices having a TouchPad(Cap?) or Command Panel (Nad and probably some others.)
Thx in advance, Regards

Thank you for your feedback Denis
The current design was not decided upon lightly. In the 12 years since Bluesound has been developed, we have relied on consumer feedback. In the experience of many, individual top cap controls of individual grouped Players has caused more confusion, not less, amongst our user community, consumer feedback, our integration channels and our dealer network. Some time ago we came up with the current model which seems to meet most needs. Some have asked, why not make it optional in a settings menu. In testing that, it was deemed to be even more confusing and less intuitive than the current design.
I hope this helps you understand the current model design and how it came about.
